lyrics

Good deeds, false believes.

Good deeds,
encircled by
an invisible
imprisoning army
of false believes.

False believes,
inextricable
from second thoughts,
making agonizing choices
an endeavor.

Thoughts that cage my soul
fill the morning hour
down the rabbit hole
and up the ivory tower.

Words that cage my soul
fill the morning after
down the rabbit hole
and up the iron tower.

Conditions,
so set in stone and still
such soft receivers
of violent volition,
at times.

Times,
when I feel myself
almost levitate from pain,
but no toil
can obliterate my demons for good.

Moaning quietly under rectangular routines.
Sobbing silently on preposterous believes.

||: Prison preserves :||

Thoughts that cage my soul
fill the morning hour.

Johanna Seim and Sjur Nyvold share a love for traditional fiddle music, rhythms and the nakedness of the voice. They met in the small mountain town of Rauland, southern Norway, where Sjur grew up and had returned to after a decade of pursuing arts in Oslo, Tromsø and Berlin. Johanna had exchanged the buzzing life of her hometown Berlin for the remoteness of Rauland to study the hardanger fiddle. ... more
